Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of game cuisine! In this workshop, you will learn how to conjure up a delicious menu using high-quality game meat, fine vegetables, and special tubers.


Together we will prepare a tender saddle of venison – aromatic, juicy and cooked to perfection. We will combine it with golden yellow, nutty and creamy Andengold potatoes and earthy Jerusalem artichokes, which give the dish an exciting depth of flavor.
In addition to learning the tricks of the trade when it comes to game meat—from proper trimming to cooking techniques—you will also receive tips on pairing it with seasonal side dishes and complementary sauces. At the end, we will enjoy the recipe we prepared together in a relaxed atmosphere.

Jan Urban – “The Gourmet Craftsman”

As a boy from the Ruhr region, Jan Urban conquered the world after completing his thorough apprenticeship – whether on the Aida, in luxury hotels in Luxembourg, in Germany's oldest city – Trier – or during his time in the German Armed Forces. Today, he is head chef at the traditional Haus Overkamp, which has been shaping gastronomy in Dortmund's Höchsten district for over 320 years.

As a private and event chef, working with Johann Lafer among others, he demonstrates his skills and inspires with creative and delicious dishes. He is always on hand to offer advice and assistance and is happy to share his best tips and tricks from the world of cuisine. Let his passion for cooking inspire you and enjoy unforgettable taste experiences!
