Hr. Schäffler ist seit 2021 bei baugrund süd leitend für das Thema Energiekonzepte im Siedlungs- und Quartiersbereich tätig und konnte in der Vergangenheit bereits eine Vielzahl an Projekten v.a. im Bereich kalter Nahwärme planen und aktiv umsetzen. Aufgrund seiner langjährigen Tätigkeit bei einem größeren, regionalen Energieversorger bringt er umfangreiche Erfahrung im Bereich Fernwärme und Wärmeversorgungssysteme mit. Neben der klassischen planerischen, ingenieurstechnischen Tätigkeit unterstützt er auch in der Projektentwicklung und im Bereich BAFA geförderter Machbarkeitsstudie. Weiterhin ist er bestellter Sachgutachter der AGFW zur Zertifizierung von Wärmenetzen nach AGFW FW 309.

Sebastian Schäffler successfully completed his Master of Engineering in Environmental and Process Engineering, specialising in Energy Technology, at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences in 2014 and has since held various positions in the field of heat supply throughout Germany. Since 2021, Mr Schäffler has been in charge of energy concepts for housing estates and neighbourhoods at baugrund süd and has previously planned and actively implemented a large number of projects, particularly in the field of cold local heating. Thanks to his many years’ experience working for a major regional energy supplier, he brings extensive expertise in district heating and heat supply systems. In addition to traditional planning and engineering work, he also provides support in project development and in the area of BAFA-funded feasibility studies. Furthermore, he is an appointed expert assessor for the AGFW for the certification of heating networks in accordance with AGFW FW 309.
