We cordially invite you to the exciting impulse and talk "Green Claims Directive - Can I still use the term "climate neutrality" at my event?".

With the Corporate Social Responsibility Directive and the Green Claims Directive, we are facing comprehensive requirements for the reporting and communication of environmental claims, which also affect the event industry on a large scale. So how can event organizers achieve a reliable and resilient event carbon footprint for event formats of all kinds under these conditions?

In this panel discussion, we will look at this from different perspectives - association, certification, event and consulting. Together, we will discuss what I can say, how, when and why and, above all, what I can do and prove.

Clemens Arnold ist Geschäftsführer der 2bdifferent GmbH & Co. KG, einer Beratungsagentur für Nachhaltigkeit in der Veranstaltungswirtschaft. 

Mit einer umfassenden Expertise berät er Unternehmen, Verbände und Organisationen in der Berechnung von CO₂-Bilanzen und der Optimierung von Eventformaten nach nachhaltigen Kriterien. 

Er hat eine Ausbildung zum Corporate Responsibility Manager an der Universität Bayreuth und ist Mitglied in der Jury des PSI Sustainability Awards. Zudem vermittelt er als Dozent in verschiedenen Hochschulen und Veranstaltungen über nachhaltiges Eventmanagement und CSR.

Clemens Arnold is the managing director of 2bdifferent GmbH & Co. KG, a consulting agency for sustainability in the event industry.

With his comprehensive expertise, he advises companies, associations and organisations on calculating CO₂ balances and optimising event formats according to sustainable criteria.

He trained as a corporate responsibility manager at the University of Bayreuth and is a member of the jury for the PSI Sustainability Awards. He also lectures on sustainable event management and CSR at various universities and events.

Barbara-Maria Lüder ist bei AUMA tätig als Manager Legal Affairs, Taxes, Technology and Sustainability.

In dieser Rolle verantwortet sie zentrale Themen wie Recht, Steuern, Technik und Nachhaltigkeit innerhalb der deutschen Messewirtschaft.

Sie ist seit 2006 für AUMA aktiv und bringt damit fast zwei Jahrzehnte Erfahrung in den Verband ein - ein Zeichen ihrer langjährigen Branchenkenntnis und ihres Engagements für nachhaltige Messewirtschaft. 

Als ausgewiesene Expertin engagiert sich Barbara-Maria Lüder insbesondere dafür, dass Messen und Events in Deutschland auf einen nachhaltigen, klimafreundlichen Kurs gebracht werden. So begleitet sie im Rahmen von AUMA die ambitionierten Ziele der Branche

She has been part of AUMA since 2006, contributing nearly two decades of experience — a testament to her deep industry knowledge and long-standing commitment to sustainable trade fair development.

As a recognized expert, Barbara-Maria Lüder is particularly dedicated to guiding Germany’s trade fairs and events toward a more sustainable and climate-friendly future. Within AUMA, she supports the industry’s ambitious transformation goals.

With her strong combination of legal expertise, technical understanding, and sustainability focus, she is a key point of contact for ensuring that trade fairs in Germany are organized in a legally sound, economically viable, and environmentally responsible manner.
